The Funny Maths Thread.. which sometimes contains mildly amusing pictures

Ireland just has a harp. :\

My family crest has a lion though :)

Why do we have lions in the first place? It's not like they're local wildlife. We should have... lynxes and drunks sleeping in piles of snow. Lynxes eating drunks in piles of snow. And people with axes. Longboats. A tomte. Anyone noticed that almost no african country has lions in their coat of arms? They have zebras, camels, eagles, horses, unicorns, gazelles, tigers, leopards, elephants and automatic rifles instead. Spain has a pink lion. Don't ask why.

In relation to the hostage situation in the phillippines, I thought of this classic.

I get a window seat.

That reminded me of the coat of arms of Lapland.

That is the coat of arms of Finnish Lapland, the one of Swedish Lapland is almost the same. :)

On second thought, lions are cool. Otherwise we just end up with this (Inari, Finland).

Run away! It's the terrible deerfish!

I think it's a warning sign for IceBone to never go boating.

Too soon?

Hey, we've got 1.5 lions (not counting the ones on the shield) and a chained-up unicorn. That's pretty badass. Mostly a ripoff of the UK one with some maple leaves added, though.

The Commonwealth of Australia's arms doesn't have a lion (except little ones in the shield)-

But the state of New South Wales does-

That is one smug looking emu...he's not even helping the Kangaroo hold up the crest.

Even the roo looks more like he is leaning on it for support rather than holding it up. But that makes sense, he's probably drunk. Most kangaroos drink way too much, but it not something we are supposed to tell the rest of the world about.

Like I said on the last page:p Our .5 Lion is greater than all others, as it is drunk, has a maple leaf and a crown.
