EDIT: Actually, I think they meant that six is pronounced the same way as sex in english. Eh, that's close enough.

Well sex is pronounced rather similar in german and english.
But but you will only hear a difference between sex and sechs(six) in dialect-free "high" german. At least around here were I live it sounds pertty much the same...

In German 6 is pronounced more with the Z - Zex. Sex is always with S. As I remember from my studies (German studies, not sex)

So in Denmark girls wouldnt mind if I grab them by the ass and say "six, six, six", and they would go "nein, nein, nein, I meant six, six, six", and I would say "ja ja ja, six, thats what I mean, lets do that", and they would "nein, nein, nein six is the answer" -"ja ja ja, six IS the answer, do it now", -"nein nein, answer to the math puzzle" -"what ever helps You do your homework..."
