Jones is fucking crazy:
Don't let anyone tell you it's not a drug...
It took hours for me to finally get that one.
Yes, you can become chemically dependant on any drug. Caffeine's just not nearly as addictive as, say, amphetamines.
Actually, caffeine CAN cause a mild physical dependence, but it is NOT addictive.
Can caffeine be bad for you? Sure, in large enough quantities, but what won't kill you if you have too much of it?
Physical dependence, chemical addiction... aren't those two terms meaning the same thing?Actually, caffeine CAN cause a mild physical dependence, but it is NOT addictive. Medically those are two different things. There is no medical evidence to support the claim that caffeine produces psychological dependence.
Yes.Physical dependence, chemical addiction... aren't those two terms meaning the same thing?
Holy shit.Don't get it.
Oh yes it certainly is addictive. People develop dependencies on it and experience withdrawal symptoms when it's taken away. I find your claim of a difference between a real physical dependence; which elicits sensations ranging from anxiety and nervousness to mania, depression, and psychosis; and addiction dubious.

Yes.
