I see this mistake in the news all the time.
They just take the caliber in inches and add "mm" after that.
 
And now I‘m wondering what a 357 inch bullet/shell/Death Star projectile would look like.

Considering this is 31 inches, 357 inches would be quite big :p

That's actually the correct projectile ("bullet" felt inadequate) for the gun pictured.

You would need quite a sizeable Death Star to fire one, wouldn’t you? :think:

One that's the size of a small moon, maybe? :think:
 
At that point it'd be more of a Galaxy Gun.
