Hey im the 121 guy!
Thanks for those who liked my vid!
"He reminds me of a cross between me and one of my car loving friends. Rubbish hair and quite funny"
OUCH.......... but true
I found it funny today when i checked youtube that the Volvo guy (nickisaacs) had taken the time to go around to EVERY entry and rate it 1 star........ too much time on his hands!

I somewhat prefer the current format as it's easier to see when it's updated, although all of the original batch shoulda gone into one post instead of repeatedly posting, yes, but it's not a big deal.

   Great work, mate! My video (the one with the Astra in it) is total shite in comparison to your work. :D

Oh dear. Well, I dunno if Freehand will take much notice of YouTube ratings during the judging process, but interesting nonetheless.

Now that you're here, why not stick around for a while?

Like I said, I stole the format from elsewhere. In hindsight, perhaps putting the 4 known FG users into the first post would have made more sense. Sorry if I've inadvertantly incurred the wrath of Mod. ;)

Impressive credentials as an Action Vehicle Co-ordinator that has done a fair bit of TV work. Not so much an audition video as a video resume. Perhaps what this guy would really like is an off-camera job on TGA rather than an on-camera one.

If you don't like Evos, don't tell this bloke. He looks scary. A decent effort overall, plenty of enthusiasm.

Not bad. Gets an extra point for not choosing one of the usual suspects as the subject of his video (Saab 9-5). Oddly enough, some parts of this video remind me of my very first attempt at putting something to camera for this audition. An honest effort.

In-car stuff comes across particularly nicely. The best thing about this bloke is that he comes across as knowledgeable and genuine. Excellent choice of hardware reviewed. Overall, a good thing and one of the better efforts. Well worth watching ... maybe even a shortlister.

Nice concept. Could have done with some more narrative. Humour is somewhat subtle. Worth a look, if only because it's a bit different to the others. Extra points for the inclusion of outtakes.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have our first applicant for Top Gear NZ! We need to get in contact with this guy, he claims to have some VHS of Top Gear from 1995.

Nice. Slick, quite amusing, nice use of language. Confident, but not over the top. In some ways, this guy seems to have a bit of a Hammondesque aura to him, only not as frantic. A definite contender.

Some good ideas, presentation is quite low key.

Competent. Quite short, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. AE86 fans might <3 this.

A couple of absolute classic one liners in this one ...

Hey didileavemykeyshere
You were by far the best.
Two thumbs up!
Id be very happy if they have you in the show. Id much rather have a smart uni student on my telly than a country bogan talking about how powerful his v8 is like some other entries iv seen.:D

Nice Work!;)

--also the one above is awesome.

A true petrolhead from wayback with a fair chunk of passion. I have a feeling this guy has had this video on ice for a while - I suspect he may have made part of this video back in 2006, just before speed limits in the NT were introduced. The fact that he made such a video well before Top Gear Australia was even conceived must augur well for him. Definitely worth watching. Another one on the shortlist?

Yeah the Mazda 121 guy was HILARIOUS. I really hope he gets the job.

Also, really liked the guy with the black WRX, seems like he would be a good presenter.

Well, this looks like the last of them for now. Entertaining, and it has a Lotus Esprit in it. A definite plus in my book.

Some wanker with a pickled onion and a shithouse company car. Move along, nothing to see here ...

what the hell was that bit at the end???

Tone76,

Thanks for setting up this thread, it will be a great repository into the future when the auditions are a distant thought from the past!
