The Gun thread

I have no idea how he did, but he sure deserves praise for trying!

I didn't notice he had spare cylinders to start with and was amazed how quickly he was reloading

They're not spare cylinders but rather speedloaders:

They make it easy to line up the new rounds with the cylinder and simply stop the rounds in together instead of one by one.

No wonder I heard people calling full autos "the giggle switch". Must be awesome, even if useless.

This is one of the more idiotic knockoff developments of the original Pager Pal (later Cell Pal) holster. Unintentionally amusing video to explain the real system:

They're kind of slow, but they're surprisingly good at concealing even very large handguns - with some caveats. They do not, however, propel your firearm onto the floor. :p

Unrelated but cool:

Wasn't someone looking for one of these? This is a one day only sale on an interesting AR upper.

Jamie's really slow at reloads and needs quite a bit more practice with pistol handling. :p Adam's a bit better.

"Clips," ugh....

Practice, practice, practice...

Yeah, they're "adequate".
That other guy, on the other hand...

No, Jamie isn't adequate - he's fumbling with the pistol a lot and that's not really safe for anyone. It'd be one thing if it was a European mag release or he was following traditional European reload techniques (holding the mag instead of letting it drop) but it's not and he isn't.

Tomasie is ridiculously fast and ridiculously good. There's the classic video of him with his race gun reloading even *faster* without even trying. Watch the slow-mo, the magazine is barely one length out of the mag well and he's already gotten the new mag off his belt, up to the pistol and sliding it home.

No fair - he's using a race gun :p In the first video, however, he is fast but would've been even faster with a gun that didn't require him to release the slide with his support thumb.

Since we're on the subject of fast reloads, I can't help buy repost Jerry Miculek's record. The man cannot possibly be human.
