The latest episode. The supercars

In the last episode (according the the time of this post), they talked about the JAG XJ-220, Enzo, Carrera GT, Zonda and the McLaren F1, oh and the F40.

Now why in gods name wouldn't they give the older cars to the stig for a crack on the track. I know people will say that the Power Laptimes only test cars that are available to buy at the time of the lap.

But why not run say, the McLaren F1 around the track. I wouldn't be suprised if it was close to, even faster than the Enzo

That has already been discussed in the episode's thread here: http://gear.viper007bond.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1393&start=340. They are private owners' cars, not demo cars given out by the manufacturer. There are obviously limits in what they are able to do in the cars.
