6/18/2002 - Three days away from the summer soltice, but close enough to claim the use of the date's common name. The TSD rally began and ended in Columbus, Ohio and covered 80+ miles of well-chosen narrow, twisty back roads in central Ohio. The rally was sanctioned by CORC and Dave Sellers and Janis Ford were the organizers. They created a carefully crafted event with speeds kept under the legal limits - but high enough to keep all the competitors on their toes. The relatively new Richta GPS-based timing and scoring app was used and functioned perfectly. My rally partner Barb and I did well, winning our class (Limited) and finishing 2nd overall - just 4 seconds off the winning team's score. Here's a pic of us in my WRX, exiting one of the many bridges on the course.
