Movie: The Mechanic

Do a type 1 service please - change the oil, check the breaks and all fluid levels, and do a tyre pressure check all round and emissions too would you mate? Always good to have a mechanic on call.

Jason Statham playing the same damn character he's played for the last ten years. Not necessarily a bad thing I guess, always got time for another disposable action flick :p

Yay remakes.... Charles Bronson >>>>> Jason Statham

Should be good.

Nice turn your brain off action flick.

From the Youtube comments:
This january, Jason statham? doing exactly the same thing he does in every film... Drives cars and punches people in the head!

Not a bad thing, like some of you said. Also, I didn't realise this was a remake.

I just saw the movie and Red_Bull predicted it very nicely

It was not bad, I think I got my money's worth but like said earlier - it's the same old movie he always does. Also, there were two sex scenes in the movie and they had no relation to the plot. Statham pays for a hooker (okay, okay..."escort service") and the co-star fucks a random in an alley. So? What was the point there?

Overall, a very forgettable movie.

(There was a nice E-type Jag for a minute or two though)

Better than most action flicks, but nothing too remarkable except...

2006 Pontiac GTO!

Unfortunately it was only in the film for about 15 seconds. Damn. :(

Saw an E type jag getting exploded. Looks like a gun-porn type movie.

when i saw the trailer for it on tv my first thought was "thats got to be The Transporter 4" only to be surprised when it gave the title. i'll still give it a go though. If it turns out like Transporter i'll be happy, i just hope it doesn't turn out like Crank.

It's more like the first Transporter - not as ridiculous as the other two.

Just saw it, it was okay with some good fight scenes, one was especially good. Rest was a bit forgettable really, and...

It annoyed me that they changed what was by far the best part of the original, and that was the amazing ending. Pissed off at that, as well as the complete waste of a GTO and XKE when pretty much any car would have done the job in those scenes.

Hadn't heard about this until a couple of days ago. I didn't get a sequel/franchise vibe when I watched the previous one, but whatdoyaknow. Probably not worth its own thread considering threads for much bigger releases end up at the bottom of the forum with about zero posts.

Arthur Bishop [Jason Statham] returns as the Mechanic in the sequel to the 2011 action thriller.
