My Grandad has just recently found some old "The Motor" magazines from 1956 to 1965. I have looked all over the website to see to find out some stuff about them. All i managed to find was that they were merged with Autocar in the 80's to 90's.

One of the things Grandad wants to know is how much they might be worth today...

I'm surprised it merged with AutoCar and not Road and Track. R/T is the only magazine I've seen to use a drivetrain diagram like that one.

You should totally get some high quality scans. I'm curious about the reviews.

^ x2. I'm interested to see how good that Edsel Ranger 4-door Hardtop is.

:p

Cool find though. I love old automotive literature. I'd love to have some old magazines like those on my coffee table.

I'm sure you want to keep them, but if you end up selling some (and if they're not worth a ridiculous amount), I'd definitely be interested.

Dibs on that one with the Volvo 444K :D

Very cool find. I love looking in old car magazines, my dad have some of the annually car magazines (where they list all the cars that were on sale that year) from the 70?s and they are great fun to read.

Also my granddad used to have a Volvo 444

Too bad they end in the 60s. I'd be interested in finding a review of the 1976 Volvo 245DL

Nope, you're wrong. Sorry.

I actually had a '76 245, my grandfather bought it new in '76, then my dad drove it for a bit and finally I drove it. Three generations.
