Yar, this is me covering an Alestorm song. Fresh out of my laptop's built in webcam. Recommended for people who want to listen to me yelling at you for 4 minutes 46 seconds. Pirate metal for pirates by a piratey pirate.

Mmm...my vote for top 10 songs of the 80s...

Gillian Gilbert is possibly the most talented keyboardist I've heard from any synth band from that decade... when the Synth kicks in during "Age of Consent" it just makes the whole song.

Sumner is pretty much a musical genius...Hook played bass like nobody else had before and he created some mean hooks..(no pun intended)

And well...Stephen Morris was called The Human Drum Machine for his technical skill and his ability to play things that nobody thought were possible by a human being.

What else do I have to say?

I think people overlook the 80s way too often in terms of music. Artists were really experimenting during that decade and were coming up with some truly mind blowing sounds. And they found a way to make it really...really good to dance to.

Stone Roses
The Smiths
New Order
Depeche Mode

A lot of Peter Gabriel

Just some really freaking great music.

Jack White has started up another band (his third), called "The Dead Weather".
Not promoting, but it sounds good. I'm a bigger fan of his other bands though.

(Anybody elese even the remotest fan of him/his bands? The reaction I've generally seen on here has been really negative)

Well, what can I reccomend?

Amon Tobin & Bonobo for sure... Also Aphex Twin and some Game Soundtracks, for me the best are from :

Fallout 1/2
Elder Scrolls III/IV
Half-Life 2 (especially from Episode Two and don't forget official Orange Box soundtrack)

All of them are really chillout ones, so if you want to settle down yourself for a little moment - this is what you need :D

I'm a fan of the White Stripes since hearing 'Seven Nation Army' but also since i find Meg White oddly attractive. Also i know a lot of people have hated it but i really do like 'Another Way to Die' that he and Alicia Keys did for the James Bond film last year 'Quantum of Solace'
