The "New Toys" Thread

I sold my AirPods Pro because I thought I didn't use them enough. I had a pair of cheap noname ones I had won at a company party. Last night I'd finally had it with the bluetooth disconnects and lag.

I don't feel like dropping 250 or whatever on AirPods Pro right now, so enter JBL Tune Beam. €59 on sale. About 50 after I used some points I had collected in the store. Perfectly greatish sound quality. No Hey Siri to get in the way. And above all, they stay in my ears. This isn't a given with my weirdly shaped ears. Now, if only the desigers had designed the case so the earbuds aren't the wrong way around when you take them out of the case, that would be great. But I like everything else.

The ”ambient aware” mode makes windy microphone noises when it’s windy. A high pass filter would be a neat addition here. ANC effectively blocks out traffics.

I wore them for about an hour, they never annoyed me once. I never had to readjust. This has never happened with wireless earbuds before. I forgot to take them out when I got home. This has also never happened before.

Good purchase.
