Well, just got my Christmas order :D

Two 1GB sticks of Patriot EP PC-6400 RAM, Acer 22" monitor, Xbox360 HD VGA cable (so I can upscale DVD's), Seagate 250GB external HD, and Edimensional FF gaming headset

Also got Mass Effect and Assassins Creed.
I use the xbox 360 VGA cable but the damn thing doesn't support 1440x900. so i have to use 1366x768 :(

Yeah, I saw that I was limited to certain ones, I think I ended up with 768 or a stretched out 1280x1024 :(. Still worth it to me though.

Two minor additions....

Not really a tech toy, but it'll take time and come out good :D. Only have like 1/3 of the paints I need, even have small
micro-metal parts that came with a cloth that I cut seatbelts out of :p, metal grill, antennas ect.. going to be very nice.

Messenger kit, came with another set of headphones with different controls...now I have two others that are useless

Holy crap, where did you find those Eggs? 0.o
 I'm even more surprised by your reaction, I wasn't expecting anyone here to know what Eggos are. Finding them is no small task, auctions are your best bet, and they rarely show up.

The Sony Eggos are what got me into high(er) end headphones, although I now have much better phones and no longer use them, I still keep them for collection purposes, and have been doing so for the past 5-6 years.

What's your Eggo experience?

New toy of the day :

New motherboard and new case :)

MSI KT4 Ultra (Firewire, Ethernet Gigabit, etc.) with a AMD 3000+ :)

Yeah, I know it's quite old, but it runs the games I play very nicely :)

I got the motherboard with processor and 512MB of ram for 50?..., the case for free and I had the rest in my old pc (768MB of ram, a 60GB hd and a Radeon 9600Pro).

I'm happy with it but the MSI download servers are annoyingly slow :'(

Welcome me to the club people!

We don't really celebrate Christmas as a religious thing so I got my gift early... that, and the fact I had to go buy it because my mom isn't really too well-versed technically.

One question though which I'm sure you guys can answer seeing as how so many own DSLRs here. I am currently using it with a microSD card in a SD adapter. It works fine but for continous burst shots I feel it should be faster. Is this because I don't have an actual SD card in there? Should I go buy a hi-speed SD, if they exist?

Usually using a memory card adapter will cause transfer speed to drop, however IIRC the only difference between SD and MicroSD is the size, so the slow burst shooting speed is because the memory card itself is slow.

I highly recommend SanDisk Ultra/Extreme series, the speed difference between my Ultra II and no-name brand CF card is really noticeable, especially shooting in RAW.

Holy smokes, I've never seen more Eggos in one place in my life! I used to have a pair of the MDR-D66's that I absolutely loved to death until someone waltzed into my dorm at Uni and made off with them and my favorite fedora. I used a pair of V300DJ's, then MDR-XD200's (darkest. cans. ever.) until this year when I realized how much I was using my headphones and decided to go back to a higher-quality pair. None of the current Sony stuff really gave me the sound I wanted and I went with a pair of AKG K240's instead.

I seem to remember you having a pair of ATH1000's, I thought for sure with all your Sony gear you'd have a set of R1's. ;)

How's this for a new toy ? :)

SRT-4s came without 'em in 03 but were factory equipped after that.
Turbo'ed pt cruisers use a different manual transmission ( Getrag 288 ) and never got it stock.

With so much torque on tap, it's nice to truly be two wheel drive. 8)

Chilicoke, I have two pairs of Sony noise-cancelling eggo-style headphones. NC-20

New Home Theater PC on the cheap:

Gateway 2.4GHz Core2Quad Media Center PC: $750 from Tiger

LG Blu-Ray/HD-DVD combo drive: $299 from Newegg

Being able to play any High Def disc and record HDTV: priceless.
