The "New Toys" Thread

Teh hawtness.

Edit: Can't find out how to use the multi-quote feature. ?

If you want to quote two posts, push multi for the first one, then just push the regular quote for the second one :)

You can also click the multi button on all the posts and then click the "Reply" button.

^but how come you can't quote someone including the thing he has quoted as well, if you don't know what I mean:
say I want to quote Jeff's post including flaming ice inside as well, how do I do that?

I can't afford a new car :p.

Ignore the driving errors :p. Actually I'm still 3 seconds slower than the world records. I can be just as quick though with the shifter since I can go to whatever gear I want. On the Blackwood straight, I went from 5th to 3rd :).

Do you always curse when you understeer?

I just have a couple of questions:
How's the pedal feel?
Are the "flappy paddles" in a comfortable position?
Can the H-gate be fully utilized in games like GT4? (Ex./ 5 - 3) ... or do you downshift through all the gears? (Ex./ 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1)

Nested quotes are removed in order to not get huge fucking quote clusters like we did on the old forum.

^Ahh ok :D

and Mischief, cool wheel, I'm so tempted to buy one right now ... but my brother just told me he's getting one for Christmas from my parents so I'll try his in Hong Kong and then decide if I should buy it now or wait till my momo dies.

Pedal feel is good. The brake pedal is stiff and it will take time to get used to it. In LFS I can utilize the shifter with any shift I want. I don't have a PS2 so I can't tell you for sure. The force feedback is very different from my MOMO. It will take time to get used to it.

I had that turn perfectly and the car still didn't want to turn :). I'm assuming you are polish then teletubby.

Dell 207WFP 20" Widescreen monitor, ordered it to get here today...I hope

i've had such a crap time with computers at the moment. firstly my laptop short circuted which screwed that up completly and i'd only had it two months, then my computer had a boot failure and started talking spanish (don't ask). So tonight I went out and bought another laptop:

Advent 7105
  • AMD Sempron 3000+ Processor
  • 1600 MT/s HyperTransport
  • 128 KB Cache
  • 1024 MB RAM
  • 60 GB Hard Drive
  • DVD ReWriter MultiDrive
  • 15.4" Widescreen Display
  • Microsoft Windows XP Media Center
  • 128 MB ATI X200 Shared Graphics

Sweet monitor Silverstar. I've got the older 2005FPW.

Well...finally got my computer today.

Alienware Area-51 7500. Was a birthday present :p

Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo X6800@2.93GHz
2gb Corsair DDR2 PC6400
x2 SLI enabled nVidia GeForce 7950GT's
nVidia Stripe 250gb HDD
Creative Soundblaster X-Fi

It's great having a system that isn't bogging while playing the lastest fads in gaming. Flight Simulator X runs as smooth as a babies bottom, and BF2 runs with the frames maxed out :D

Installed F.E.A.R., need to wait to play that during the day time, so I don't have nightmares :)

Here it is up to my old system w/ old chassis. Got the old one 2 1/2 years ago when I was recovering from back surgery. It did me well, went through a power supply, graphics card and a couple fans. But it help up and I'll probably set it up on another desk when we move.

   Wow!! Very nice man: that's like a $3500+ system. Wish I got birthday presents that good.....

Nice way to show off that you don't know anything about computers, anyway :).

I'm quite sure you could build a similar performing system for half of that money, and with a case which doesn't look like shit. Still a nice present, though ;). But I'd rather buy my first car with that money.

I was kinda thinking the along the same lines, but I was so surprised to see someone who actually had a $3500+ PC....
