Yeah 45 would be better for keeping you in the seat, at that point though you'd experience 1g*cos(45), about .7g's lateral and vertical.

Yeah, that's why it can't simulate a skidpad accurately without that sled that slides around. Without the sled it has only 1g's to play around and you need that for the realistic gravity.
