The Official Snow Thread 2012/13

My local weatherman says we are supposed to have a snowy winter, but so far we've had nothing but above average temperatures.

What's this... "snow" you speak of?

It snowed some more last night. Thank FSM I've got two pairs of waterproof boots.

Can't refuse a lady. Even though they're done with my phone.

This is the lake where my father fishes, feeds the stray dogs and where we got our current dog and the one before him.

Why is there a giant buttock in the courtyard?

We are "supposed" to get some now early next week. If so I will have some pics. If not I'll just go up higher in the mountains and take some pics!

"Better" in terms of accuracy is hard to tell. However, I prefer them for their transparency. Other weather sources are afraid to be wrong, so they muddle about to avoid crass changes in their predictions. The Danish give you as much detail as they have, with the caveat that they may be entirely wrong.

I especially love their nautical weather at http://ocean.dmi.dk/anim/index.php - for instance, select Vandstand / havniveau, Nords?en and press i l?kke to watch the North Sea flobber about.
Another thing I love is their winter weather at http://vintertrafik.dk - it's a bit boring right now, but when the white stuff is going down you can actually see where the plows are and how long it has been since they have cleared a section of road.
