Alright, Texas man...try this, what people in the Midwest used to do. Take a can of Dr. Pepper, pour it into a container, and heat it up to simmering, then drink it. It is actually quite good!

It's a regional thing; we here call it pop, just like in Wisconsin we call a water fountain a bubbler.

I'd expect that from someone who walks on velvet green. A thing down in the south is calling all SODA, Coke. You ask for a coke the lady'll say, what kind? and you have to specify say sprite or coca cola
 
I've sworn off soda for almost one year now. I used to drink Diet Coke/Pepsi though. Jones Soda has some nice flavors, but I can only drink it in small amounts.
 
I don't mind generic knock off soda, but I do prefer the name brand stuff.

Pepsi/Coke - I love both of them, I only prefer one depending on the mood I'm in. I find coke has more of a bite to it while Pepsi goes down very smoothly. I've always loved the cherry verions of both.

Sprite/7 up - Love sprite, HATE 7 up.

Mt Dew/Mello Yellow - Love the Dew, hate the knock off.

A&W/Barqs root beer - Love them both.

If I need a serious kick in the ass, then I'll drink Vault or Jolt Cola. I fucking LOVE Vault. When I found it in the store a few years ago and tried it, I almost started jumping up and down yelling "THIS IS SURGE! SURGE IS BACK! YES YES FUCK YES!". Vault is really good shit. While I don't like the taste of Jolt as much as normal soda, it's worlds better than energy drinks, plus it comes in a car shaped like a giant battery and that's just fucking cool.

I've tried energy drinks like Red Bull, Bawls, Monster, and a few others. But I can never get past a few sips. They just taste like fermented skunk juice mixed with zebra cum.

Your the only one to notice. Coke was like, maybe we can take this Surge recipe which was a complete failure, throw some more sugar in it and a different name and we'll have a good competitor to Mountain Dew and a replacement to Mellow Yellow. It's worked miraculously.

Surge was awesome. My mom bought me a bottle of that when I was 7, and it made such a strangely indelible impression on me, that when I plonked down $1.75 for a Vault I had a massive wave of nostalgia. Good shit. :thumbsup:

I totally agree. I can't stand most energy drinks (Red Bull especially) but some are really good, like Freak and Jolt. I don't know how people can drink some of them. I have one friend who will drink anything caffeinated and love it, and he generally drinks 2-4 energy drinks on an average school day just to stay awake. I've told him it can't be good for him but he doesn't care. Can energy drinks give you ulcers?
 
I am a Coke Light / Pepsi Light drinker. I just hate the sugar coating on the teeth when drinking normal coke :)
 
I refuse to drink unleaded. It just tastes horrible.

Yeah, I so hate that, I always have to brush my teeth afterwords, but it's still worth it. :D
 
I rarely drink soft/carbonated drinks (Strange, I know) but when I do it's usually

Coke
San Pellegrino Limonata or
San Pellegrino Sparkling Water/Perrier
