The "Post your Christmas presents" thread 2011

...and once again that confirms the survey that around 20% of the Lego Technic-sets are bought by (and for) adults. :)

I got a pan, a glass casserole dish, a leather belt (I wished for those three things), a small cookbook and a magazine about the "secret places" of Hamburg. Tomorrow the rest of the family will get together for brunch so I expect to get a 2012 wall calendar from my uncle who lives in the USA (that has been a tradition for many years) and some money and/or gift cards from my other family.

It's really awesome, all the gears, differentials, portal axles, suspension, pneumatics etc. I only wish the rope for the winch was longer, so I could let it pull itself across the room. :D

You got a rubber ducky?

Yep.

Never mind all the DVD's and books and fancy gadgets, the duck was the highlight of my christmas.

I'm quite a fan of novelty gifts, hence why I have a shitload of Stig stuff (bubble bath, memory stig, stiggy bank, stig mug/stug, squeezy stress-relief stig, countless keyrings) as well many other "cheap 'n' cheerful" gifts from christmases past littering every draw and cupboard I own.

Along with various giftcards:

Holiday Haul:

--- socks
--- long-sleeved shirts (blue and black)
--- pink sweatery top
--- two pairs denim pants (not jeans, regular old pants. I have no fucking use for zippers and buttons on my legwear.)
--- CD player with FM radio tuner. I refuse to go gently into the age of digital downloads and iTunes.
--- $30 Bath and Body Works giftcard
--- The Help DVD (the one based on the novel, not the Beatles album/flick thingy)
--- Bridesmaids DVD
--- The Now 40 CD. I promise to skip over the fucking Nickelback song.
--- a new wallet for my money and other assorted plastic.
--- I have been promised a University of Wisconsin shirt which will likely be ordered on the interweb.

Canon T3 kit along with a 75-300mm lens to take superb pictures up other people's noses
Some candy
Some cookies
Some necklaces and earrings (including a very bright pink set)
A computer mouse that looks like a car
Poo-quito sticker and matching poo and toilet paper key holders
A rubber duckie keychain that has an LED flashlight in it (oddly, my parents got me another animal just like this one or two years ago...I guess they forgot?)
Some money (a chunk of which already went towards new tires)
Hot pink duct tape
A clapboard, lulz.

A pair of tickets to see Styx at the Emerald Queen Casino on February 3rd, 2012. 4 days after my 21st birthday, which makes it also half birthday present as well but buying the tickets now meant better seats and since the venue is small, that I got tickets at all.

Also, a giant candy cane and some money. My Top Gear 2012 calendar is supposed to be coming sometime soon, assuming that something didn't happen to it in transit or something.

^how do you put that under a christmastree

Work gave me a hamper and $50 Coles/Myer gift card.

That was pretty much it apart from the towel and socks my grandma got me :p

Prepare for amazing stock images!

I'm now rocking on 11GB of Ram, with an added 8GB

as well as Scrubs seasons 1&2; Doctor Who series 6; Skyrim; Battlefield 3; and Mario Kart 7.
Had a good Christmas with the people I love.
