Random fact # x

Stirling Moss used amphetamines when won the 1955 Mille Miglia, supplied by Juan Manuel Fango. Unlike today, when drug use equals disqualification, (*points at Tom? Enge*), the use of amphetamines was legal at the time. In fact, the stuff could be bought over the counter. Fangio (who was friends and Mercedes-teammates with Moss) handed him pills, possibly containing Benzedrine or Dexedrine, at the start, which Moss used to stay awake during the race. He then went on to win the event, set the record elapsed time, and just missed reaching an average speed of 100 mph.

fact # :?

googol is actually 10 duotrigintillion
Fact # G = f64(4) where f(n) = hyper(3,n + 2,3) and hyper() is the hyper operator.

Graham's number, named after Ronald Graham, is often described as the largest number that has ever been seriously used in a mathematical proof. It is too large to express in scientific notation so it needs special notation (G) to write down. Graham's number is much larger than other well known large numbers such as a googol and a googolplex, and even larger than Moser's number, another well-known large number. If all the material in the universe were turned into pen and ink it would not be enough to write the number down.

As long as the Isle of Man remains a racing circuit only, the rest of the people can move to the Isle of Wight. :p

Thats a good point. Maybe we should make the Isle Of Man into a huge racetrack. Like the NuerburgRing, only bigger!

Ok, now THAT is cool.

Random fact #3.2

What happened to HTML 3? Well, this is what happens when an organisation like W3C doesn't consult with companies like Microsoft or Mozilla. When you intend to launch a new standard onto the market, you better check if it's compatible with the products available with it today. The standard suggestions to HTML v3 didn't even pass their entrance exams, and disqualified. That's why the next version after HTML 2 was HTML 3.2.
