The Robot Vacuum Thread

Battery replacement complete. Really quite easy, there's all of 4 tiny Philipps screws securing the battery cover and a single plug. The no-name replacement I got from Amazon looks and feels exactly identical to the original battery. Swapped in place with no problems, let it fully charge, and did a run.

Result: 51% capacity remaining after the whole flat, where the old battery would sometimes _just_ make it and sometimes die on the way to recharge close to finishing. I'd call that a success. Now only time will tell how long this one will last.

A friend asked me about one week in how my new cleaning service is working out for me, and I didn’t understand what he meant by cleaning service. So he had to explain to me he meant the robot. “Oh. That thing.”

So I had already forgot all about its existence which is a good thing. It just goes for its daily rounds and goes back when it’s done. I never see it.

I don’t know if i’m imagining things or if the double flappy rubber roller system is worse at certain things than the single brush the old one had. I had deliberately not bothered with picking up a salted peanut which I dropped on the floor next to a rug. Said rug is the same thickness as a peanut is tall, more or less, and it was still there the next day.
