Actually...I was going to post a thread on this - Do you tip your Pizza Hut delivery man/boy?

I didn't tip accidently the other night and the guy looked kinda pissed..
I think I will in the future...I feel bad.

What'd you think?

you should aways tip your delivery guy and when you eat out, your waiter. Most waiters and delivery guys live off of the tips customers give them...so they really do need the tips.

Tipping is a scam... why not just include it in the damn price?
 
I tip if I feel a waiter has given me superior service and made me feel welcome at their esablishment. If they treat their job poorly, then they get no tip, simple as that. If they were worth more, they would be paid more. It's not my obligation to make up for their employers not paying them enough. But, if they go out of their way to deserve it, then I'll tip them.
 
I'm an Australian so I do the Australian thing.

Don't tip a bloody thing!
 
Thing is though, at certain fancier places the waiters get little or no pay and need the tips. I almost never go to those places... so why does a waitress at a regular old restaurant need to get a tip and I don't at my job? Just because they serve you food and I carry a 34" TV out to your car, how is that different where one warrants a tip and the other doesn't?

I still tip because I'm not a cheap fuck... but the system is stupid; just include it in the price you might as well.

can't remember ever having given a tip on restaurant in belgium, but no one does afaik

i did when i was on holliday in tsjechie (sp?), and the girl in the last restaurant was extremely happy, caus we gave all our coins, was more than 15?
