The Trump Presidency - how I stopped worrying and learned to love the Hair

You're conveniently ignoring that your original claim "that manufacturing jobs have hit a multi-decade high" is pure bullshit.

As for the newly revised claim, not really.
The overall market is growing, and naturally manufacturing is growing along with it. The fraction of manufacturing jobs of the overall workforce has not increased significantly - it's near an all-time low as far as the stats go -, so it's not a sound conclusion to claim he's adding manufacturing jobs specifically.

You can claim that the Trump administration has sustained the pre-existing growth ?

Trump's steel tariffs cost US consumers close to $900,000 per job, analysis finds

If you are the US what do you do? I do not care who the president is if we want to bring jobs back here the playing field needs leveled one way or another. Not many countries can compete with the wages they pay/dont pay in Asia unless you want to see a countries quality of life drastically reduced. Unfortunately first world countries do not have the benefit of playing by the same rules other countries play by for a multitude of reason some self inflicted through greed and politics and some not. American corporations and politicians started turning on their manufacturing sector long ago and no one has had the balls to try and bring the bulk of it back sure jobs may be increasing but have we made a dent compared to what we lost?

Problem with protectionist policies is that they generally don’t work. Even if tariffs could achieve price parity with domestically made goods, there are simply not enough people to on shore all of the manufacturing. And even if you do, all your goods just increased in price massively, so all those new workers don’t have nearly the purchasing power they would have otherwise. It’s similar to 15/hr minimum wage, when prices adjust to cover the wages purchasing power will at best stay the same

#1 is talking about increases, your original claim was about a multi-decade high jobs number - not increase.

#2 says it's achieved level-ness over a single decade, not a multi-decade high jobs number as your original claim claimed.

#3 is cherry picking, conveniently starting its stats at the right time to support the claim while ignoring the previous 60+ months of jobs being added.
Mind, those jobs were growing along with the overall economy just like they are now. They're not adding manufacturing jobs, neither Trump nor Obama. If they were, as in "we're bringing manufacturing back to the US", you'd see the fraction of manufacturing jobs of the overall workforce increase. That's not happening.

Trump's lawyers question Congress' power to investigate him, battle House over demand for financial records

“most transparent in the history of our country,” [...]

Just another one for the pile of lies ...
https://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-trump-transparent-accountable-20190501-story.html

[...]Trump’s administration has methodically concealed information from Congress, the media and the public. There are fewer news briefings, fewer routine disclosures from government agencies, fewer releases under the Freedom of Information Act.
His White House removed its visitor logs from public view, so citizens can’t find out when lobbyists are coming in the door. The chiefs of his regulatory agencies have been caught, over and over, hiding their meetings with corporate moguls.
Trump stopped the reporting of CIA drone strikes against suspected terrorists. The Pentagon stopped reporting how many nuclear weapons the United States maintains.
The White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, has held only two news briefings this year; they were once a daily ritual. The State and Defense Departments have all but given up regular briefings about foreign policy, military operations around the globe, and the spending of hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars.
Reporters still seek information but their requests are often ignored. (Google “the White House did not respond,” and you’ll see what I mean.)[...]
Trump began his 2016 campaign by falsely claiming he couldn’t release his tax returns because he was under audit. No rule forbids him from releasing his returns, audit or no.
Before his inauguration, he said he was turning control of his business over to his sons, but refused to release the trust agreements governing the arrangement.[...]

Micheal Wolff has a new Trump book out in a few weeks, so Trump is going to need a pretty big diversion...

It plays into the previous post about Trump being the most transparent adminstration.

And someone in Congress was stupid enough to leave a voicemail to that effect. We should have that recording released by the end of the month.

This is the equivalent of filming yourself doing illegal shit, posting it online, and tagging the local PD.

Either they start Impeachment and then can compel any testimony they want, or all their “subpoenas” are nothing but polite requests.

The sooner they start delivering indictments, the sooner this farce ends.

They already handed a few out. They either need to nut up (impeach) or shut up at this point.
They won’t. They have no reason to impeach anyone so this is all just more sabre rattling. Furthermore, they do this and they all but guarantee Trump another 4 years in office.

Let’s not forget that a President Pence might well be even worse than Trump. All the douchebaggery of the latter combined with the religious delusions of the former... it’s not a pretty picture.
