Here's a getway job you guys have to complete! :D

!!!UPDATE!!!
I added a few changes to the track so that its more challenging and fun!!

The Track:
NEW TRACK Mirror1
NEW TRACK Mirror2

Copy to LFS/data/layout folder.
3 checkpoints, that is 3 split times.

EDIT: Its a layout for the Blackwood Car Park. So after copying it to the layout folder, load BW - Car Park, press SHIFT + U, and load the file!

The Task:
Go around the very tight course as quickly as possible, by compliting a 360degree turn at the end between the cones. Hitting objects (except ad banners) will bring you 2 seconds penalty per object hit. Towards the end there is a ramp that you have to be careful with when going on. If you do not wish to go over the ramp, you can go around it on the left(obviously a bit slower way).

Car:
Mini only (aka UF1000)! Not the GTR version!!! Use any setup you like or make your own! Cabrio or not, up to you.

If anything is unclear, watch the replay (ignore those few minor mistakes :p ) Copy to LFS/data/spr folder.
NEW Replay Mirror1
NEW Replay Mirror2

Practice, have fun, and post your times here, so we can see who's gonna be the ultimate getaway driver!
You might wanna save the replay of your pb time, in case someone is suspicious that you cut the track somewhere or cheated. :coplight:

work in demo?

Will do...

//edit: But how do I get it going???
Its a layout for Autocross, right? Idon't know how to load it... Wasn't it shift+U? I don't see a load layout thing there...

Buba

Buba its a layout for the Blackwood Car Park. Copy to layout, load bw car park, shift + U, load.

Track has changed a bit  Look at the first post again. Also, added new replay for the new track! This should be final now, dont think i'll make any more changes!

1st proper attempt on the new track, 2:17 + 4sec penalty = 2:21
should be possible to get under 2:15, with a nice setup maybe even approach 2:10

Sorry but I don't like the ramps, one ramp was enough, driving on 2 wheels is not doing your laptime any good either. I'll play the old one :)

^ you have to be as fast as possible GIVEN the track :p
corners on bw dont do your lap time any good either :p

lets see what the others think, if noone likes the 2 wheel ramp exercises i'll just simply remove those. :)

the ramp sucks, I always flip over...

the rest was good but lose the ramps, it's not realistic anyway

^ if you hit the ramps right you dont flip over, one some of those 2 wheel things i even go almost full throttle without any suspension damage of whatsoever.

i put the ramps of 3 locations to make the track more interesting, otherwise its would be a simple autox track with the same objects as from s1 :dunno:

+ when testing they had ramps in the italian job and stairs as well :p and its not like its a massive stunt ramp and you arent doing 200km/h ;)

as you wish, but it sucks so you'll be alone racing it.

good auto-x setup has stiff suspension, and it doesn't work with ramps.

^ as i said, i dont mind, its fine with me to take out the ramp, majority decides ;)

btw, tight auto-x doesnt need a stiff suspension as far as i know, stiff/low suspension with strong antirollbars are needed on hihg-speed fast corner tracks :)

Unless you have downforce (certainly not the case here) then the car has the same amount of grip at all speed, so there is no reason to increase suspension stiffness on faster tracks, or reduce it for slower tracks.

However, autocross tracks do usually require very loose setups if you want to be fast, due to the nature of the turns.

Edit: If you want to use ramps, have you tried making banked corners with them?

Can you adjust the slopes of the ramps, to make a banked corner?
