The What-Did-You-Get-For-Christmas-2008 Thread

These are mine as far as I know:

OMGWTF, is that a Vodafone mclaren mercedes cologne?

hope they were given to you as a present, and you didn't "actually" went to the shop and got that for yourself.

I don't have a clue what I'm getting, but it definitely wont be as...expensive as most of the things in here. And I'm not expecting anything spectacular anyway. The thing is, I don't want my parents to do what they usually do and get loads of random stuff I like, but not love. If they changed and got one thing that I really wanted/enjoyed/loved etc, then I would be a very happy person, which I am not. And I don't like them spending/wasting lots of money anyway.

I hate Christmas in every way. Its too commercialised and over-hyped, starting the second the previous year's 25th has ended, so it becomes the biggest anti-climax ever. And I'm agnostic, so I don't see any point in that 'climax'. Christmas dinner is petty good yes, but I much prefer Pork. Boxing day has absolutely no use at all. And the time between Christmas and new year is the time of year when no-one in the world knows what to do. Its supposed to be a celebration. But of what? The fact that Jesus was born sometime in the summer? That the January sales are only a couple of weeks away? It gives us an excuse for time off of work, school and life. Because nothing ever gets done. And it'll stay that way right until the world ends. And I shall welcome that day.

Various books and tools.

I'm going over my father's tomorrow, I have no idea what if anything he got me. A package also arrived today and is being held in the front office of my apartment complex until Saturday when they return, that could be for my roommate though.

I said before I wasn't going to get anything, but my mom got me a sweater and a robe. I guess it's nice someone got me something at least... although you guys are making me jealous with all your interesting and expensive toys and other goods.

I guess that's what you get for always treating yourself... others have no choice but to buy you crap. :D

I got this:

And a small magnetic cache box, now I have to figure out a good place to hide my first cache :)

Oh, and some chocolate & sweets.

It's not very common to buy presents with Christmas in Holland because we have the 5th of December as well (also buying presents..) But I bought myself a Nintendo DS for Christmas :D I'm flying home tomorrow so I don't know if I get anything more... Yeah, probably lots of love from my cat and my family and friends, and that's enough for me :)

I got a couple more sweet surprises today :) an elephant desk calendar with the numbers and months written on wooden blocks that you flip around from my sister who just got back from Malaysia, which is awesome because I was needing a calendar at work, cookie cutters and a couple of trays from my bf (although if he thinks I bake on demand he's got another thing coming) and books and a pair of earrings from some family friends. I'm braving the boxing day sales tomorrow morning too to buy myself a watch.
