It's one thing to pay for something that deserves it, but to pay for something that just mindless drivel then that's different. 'Back in the day' software programmers used to have to actually gain the right and respect of customers for their software, then, and only then, could they charge for it. Otherwise no one would buy.

Look moron, I don't downlaod movies, I only download crappy games I want to try and have TONS of games that I bought and still buy all my legit stuff, you know nothing about me and my habits so don't come here and try to tell me what to do, go back and pray god that he doesn't get you raped by a gay who wants to get married.

I dont really care about this and I just have to say if you dont like the game, DONT BUY IT! Rent it if its available or dont put any of your money into the their pockets, no one is FORCING you to buy their shitty games.

If most of the stuff turned out these days wasnt utter shit, or you could try media and if it sucks, get your money back - I would feel different.

If you ppl are so drawn into MATERIAL OBJECTS then it would be hard to not WANT everything.

Here's an idea....perhaps if the Music industry didn't try to rip everyone off charging ?16 an album then maybe more people would buy music! The fact of the matter is, a lot of kids these days can't afford that and when it's freely available on the Internet....you know where they're gonna turn. If on the other hand, the greedy pigs at EMI and Sony etc sold albums for a more reasonable ?5 far, far more people would purchase legit music. The thing I find even more stupid is iTunes. You pay virtually the same amount, yet there aren't any manufacturing costs! Daylight robbery.

I take great satisfaction in owning a DVD collection and I honestly don't think that a pirated AVI on the web lives up to the standard of a DVD. You don't get any of the special features and the quality isn't half as good. I have been known to see what a couple of films I wasn't sure about were like before I went to see them in the cinemas. I've done the same with games too. If I'm not sure what something is like I might download it. If it's good I buy it....if it's crap I delete it and don't play it. I sure wish I'd had that option with Half Life 2 cause it runs like a dog on my PC (due to the terrible programming of vALVE which results in constant stuttering). Instead I got raped ?30 for what appears to be a BETA test version of some game which is barely playable.
 
But this is the problem with the whole greed argument vs get it for free.

WE have more power than these fat cats. I know what you mean about being ripped off, some artists records are really half assed.

Ill give you a better argument, as an F1 fan, the current condition of the sport is bad and shuting down sites that have free videos and pictures about the sport doesnt help.

What I will now do is stop watching altogether. As one it wont make a difference but if all F1 fans in protest shut themselves away from the sport I GARAUNTEE you that they will be more accomadating to change and fan friendly.

You can complain about the music industry but unless you seriously take action aboout not putting money in their hands you will continue to get shitty cds at high prices.
