TIA Never Shut Down

After the Senate ordered TIA shut down, it's found to be alive and (un)well.

TIA collects data on EVERY US citizen without oversight or restriction, and is a HUGE affront to privacy and the rights of citizens. It was ordered shut down but it's still running under different names and agencies.

When will this stupid shit end?

While the documents on the TIA programs don't show that their tools are used in the domestic eavesdropping, and knowledgeable sources wouldn't discuss the matter, the TIA programs were designed specifically to develop the kind of "early-warning system" that the president said the NSA is running.

Again, no specific evidence of anything happening. For you know the project continued analyzing the data that they had already collected before they were "shut down". It is still a problem that shouldnt have happened, but I wouldnt rush to the worse case scenario.

Well it's just one more thing in the long list of ways the executive branch has said, "hey fuck you checks and balances" which is a very bad thing, be you democrat or republican. The way in which TIA works is so reprehensible it's truly not funny, more like scary.
