Top Gear Picture Guide

It's been a while... but the new series is here and I'll be updating the picture guide again. The newest episode is already added, and some of the colors have been toned down to make a bit friendlier for the eyes (series 1 and 5).

I hope you'll enjoy the guide as before, many thanks for all the responses, it's great to know it's helpful.

So, the newest version can be found, as usual at:
http://www.angelfire.com/ex2/orangepeel/topgear/guide-topgear.htm

:)

I've updated the guide and added an extra - Top Gear specials - so far I've been able to uncover two - the bloopers and the olympics. Are there any other newTG specials and extras I should be aware of?

I didn't include the best-of episodes of course, because they recycle the already seen bits, but maybe some of them have some unaired material?

Also, it's still strictly newTG, so I'm not yet planning on working in JC's videos or oldTG, sorry.

So, yeah... if you have suggestions regarding this, they are appreciated, thanks.

Just keep up the great work! :)

The only one I know of is the 'Best of' where in between the old segments you walk around with Jimmy Carr.

Thanks, so I guess adding the 'best ofs' isn't really a necessity. I just thought that maybe we were missing some films from the series-opening teasers that didn't get into the series - I recall the freezing car segment that was later featured in the olympics special.

...as always, if you want, I can host it at my site.
Actually after initially almost dying when I uploaded all the files through the not-so-convenient Angelfire webshell, adding new pictures (4 for each new episode) isn't a hassle at all, and I can do it from any computer, so I find that to be very practical since I'm often on the go.

However, if you want to sort of mirror the guide every now and then (or back it up, or archive it after a series has ended), please feel free to do it whenever and as often as you like (it just needs removing the Angelfire code and it's fine).

I know it isn't incredibly quick when loading since it's such a big file, so perhaps a fast server would make for a fast alternative. It's because of the one-file format, but that again is due to the fact that I wanted people to download the guide once and keep it on their disk as reference for those hard times when TG isn't on, so it's easier to choose which back episode to watch in the meantime.

I'll put a mirror for it :)

nice pictures mate

are they clickable for larger versions? doesn't seem to be working for me.

This is a b****y brilliant idea! Big up TechZ /Edit and especially orangepeel.

The BBC bloke should see this because this is how they should go with their TV on demand service insted of loads of boring text to wade through. You have got this thing just about right with the pictures, enough but not too much.

Now add in something equivalent to Justin's text (So for the BBC I would look for atticulate 'viewer/fan' episode guide) then I am sure that you have something damn well awesome.

Depends upon what the BBC think they are for I suppose. As a licence fee payer I would be well chuffed if they spent a bit of money in this way.

All orangepeels work

You made a mistake with 03x09. It's a Jaguar XJ6, not a XJS :p

Great work man. Thanks for the effort :)

Great guide! Much more fun than reading! It would be nice to get larger pictures to use as desktops. Also the 40 after the Ford GT looks a little out of place. :)
