Hi guys, this summer I will be able to watch Topgear on BBC World channel but looking at the listings, I see it is on for only 30 minutes at a time. Do they show half the program at a time or do they cut some parts out :cry: I really hope I can watch the whole episodes.

I guess I should also ask which parts they edit out...
 
They edit the celeb interview and the stuff "not relevant" outside the UK. And if that's not enough, something else. ;)

They cut the Star in a reasonably price car segment, the news, and some other segment, so they can fit it in a 30 minute slot with ads. :wall:
 
I know where to find the full eps for download but I will be away from my 3.5Mbit cable connection, only 56k for the whole summer :( Oh well I guess I can watch the cut-out sections when I get back.
 
well 56k is not the end of the world :)
need some time but you can download... :)
i downloaded half of my episodes on 128k... (it was less than 128k though almost all the time)
and bbc world shows are not so entertaining than full 1hour shows, when you seen them... if you haven't so you are very pleased by those short shows ;)
 
Yeah, I used to have 64k for a lot of time, and got a considerable collection...

That was after I changed to cable, with 128, later to 256 and since this month, 1Mbit.
 
Not entirely sure if anyone cares, but theyre showing the current series of top gear on bbc world... seems they got it out quick this time! Yeah ive seen the whole episodes already - but its still top gear! :D
 
Well, those BBC World edited episodes are "Decaf", "Detuned" to me... Since I've discovered the way to get the full UK episodes, I noticed very much the differences.

But the first time I ever watched Top Gear, back in 1998, was on BBC World... :bangin: So it's not that bad.

And... Top Gear is Top Gear... a 30 min episode of Top Gear is better than 2 episodes of Fifth Gear. 8)
