1. The track day festivities began with a flash.

2. The drivers embarked along side trainers with many racing kills...
2.jpg

3. To practice their skills in corners full of thrills.
3.jpg

4. Some took the corners fast...
4.jpg

5. Some slid more with limits very vast...
5.jpg

6. While others pushed hard, remaining far from last.
6.jpg

7. This SR20 was so fast; it began to open a portal in to the past!
7.jpg

8. The racing began with the wave of a flag...
8.jpg

9. Drivers struggled to keep first place in the bag.
9.jpg

10. Others easily maintained respectable places with cars with more jump...
10.jpg

11. After much frustration Mike emerged from the pits, thanks to a new Walbro fuel pump.
11.jpg

12. The competition became very fierce...
12.jpg

13. With cars flying through the corners...
13.jpg

14. With practice the drivers became faster, looking for corners to pierce.
14.jpg

15. The SR20 was a master, leaving many behind as mourners.
15.jpg

16. But, oh no! The track was attacked by alien foreigners!
16.jpg

17. The M3 accelerated and tried to get away...
17.jpg

18. An MR2 tried to out handle the aliens, hoping to not get jolted.
18.jpg

19. The 911 got scared and rather than face the attack, it bolted!
19.jpg

20. But in the end the invaders were defeated. They retreated when they saw the FD - a car so magnificent it saved the day!

Anyone have any questions\criticisms\comments about the pictures?

Well, keep it up and you'll be rich someday :D Just don't forget that I encouraged you :p

One question: what's the NSF stand for in the title?

Not Safe For - in other words, this thread is not safe for 56k. The pictures are quite large, so opening the thread could take quite a while for dial-up users. Forum users also use NSFW quite a bit (not safe for work) to make sure people surfing forums at work don't open threads with material that might get them in trouble. :p (I was lucky no one walked past my cube at work when I inadvertently opened those damn Goatse and Tub-girl posts we were getting spammed with a while ago )

This track day event was by far the best photo-op I've ever had. Two friends and I were the only non-drivers there - we just signed the same waiver the drivers signed and the organizers let us go anywhere on the course we wanted as long as we were safely behind the barriers. We were right in the corners the whole time practicing our pan shots. :D

Now I just need to keep saving my pennies so I can upgrade from my trusty old Canon Powershot S30 to a Digital EOS Rebel! :) Even though I'm extremely happy with the final pictures, with swappable lenses I could have got shots much better than what I got with the standard S30 lens.
