I just played a demo of a very "different" type of "racing" game.
It combines "racing" with track building and puzzles :lol: .
The "racing" is VERY arcade like but that's on purpose.
It reminds me a lot of the old 4D Sports Car Racing and Stunts games.
This is one of these silly simple games that to me at least turn out to be very addictive.

I got a European release of Trackmania a long time ago and played it for ages. It was a great concept (you're right, it's a total throw back to games like Stunts and 4D Racing), but it seemed pretty buggy and got way too easy.

Apparently they've fixed most of the problems in the American release... I'm really looking forward to playing it. :mrgreen:

wanne play a simple stupid game that's hell of fun?

--> elasto mania (AKA elma)

you're a dude on a dirtbike and have to follow a track, so damn stupid it becomes cool

I can't tell you how much I loved Stunts!! :D
So I'll have to get this game too! :)

I thought I'd dredge up this old thread to tell everyone that the new version of TrackMania is nearly released. Apparently it will be released sometime this week and is called TrackMania Sunrise. Head over to http://www.trackmaniagame.com/ for more info.

I saw some video playback of the game on Attack of the Show today. The gameplay looks a lot more like San Francisco Rush than the original did, but the graphics are astounding.

I quite liked the original (I'm a huge fan of Stunts\4D Racing) so I think I'll at least give the demo of Sunrise a try.

I used to love 4d sports driving (or whatever) - one of my fave Amiga games. Might have to check o0ut this trackmania.

If you loved Stunts I can recommend this game. I kinda liked Stunts when I was a kid, but it never got me in it's hook for long times. And neither did this, but I did have fun playing it.

Great game, but the graphics are really bad, but its al lot of fun. Some levels are really difficult. And also played Stunts. Is trackmania just an remake of Stunts? better graphics :lol:
