im not sure if there is a topic on this already but if there is then im sorry and you can delete this topic

i saw this yesterday and the one thing i cannot get off my mind from watching the movie is megan fox lol omg she looks so crazy haha

as for the autobots and decepticons, loved how they looked and wat they do

movie was abit slow in one or two parts but apart from that it was filled with heaps of destruction

anyone else seen this yet?

This movie is still as awesome as the first one and in some parts the special effects are awe-inspiring.

I agree with it being a bit slow, the whole "ZOMFG Transforming robots" kinda wasn't as special as the first one but I still loved it

I just don't understand how critics are giving this movie 0 or 1 stars.. I mean come on! Learn a bit about transformers and appreciate what kind of movie it is!

ps - going to kill some critics

pps - going to buy some Transformers toys.. damn you Hasbro!

My friends are going to invite me to go see this one, I just know it. Then I have to decide which is better; A night of sitting on the couch at home, alone or a night that will involve paying good money to see a piece of shit movie. The last one we went to see was that one with Angelina Jolie and the curving bullets. Oh god, I can't even remember the name of it! There was this one scene where the protagonist googles his own name without quotation marks and he gets no results.

Anyway, I hope this Transformers thing is sit-throughable... I dunno, tho... Roger Ebert calls it ?a horrible experience of unbearable length.?

Don't listen to the critics and just go see it!

Everybody I know has enjoyed the movie and was able to sit through it even at 150 minutes long. Hell our cinema was filled with people who enjoyed the movie, some were clapping! :|

If you enjoyed the first one or just enjoy a movie with not much story(unless you know the back story of Transformers) and a lot of awesome. Do yourself a favour and go see it :)

Hmmm... Can't say that sounds like my cup of tea. Have you ever seen Bicycle Thieves? How does it compare to that?

No I haven't seen Bicycle Thieves. "Looking at the wiki now" How can you compare a black and white film to a modern age special effects spectacular? :|

When I say no story it's more of the fact that TO ME personally the experience of the movie is greater than history of everything and that is what I thought the Transformers Experience was all about.

Don't get me wrong, there is a story and it does explain enough information about the movie but I've also grown up around the story of transformers so I related to it better and I don't know how it was for someone who didn't know anything about the series before seeing this.

I was just joking.

If I end up seeing it, that'll be the problem for me I reckon... See, I was never into Transformers, even as a kid.:(

Well in that case maybe go rent or "acquire" a copy of the first movie and see how you feel after that and maybe save yourself some money. :)

To be honest what made the first film entertaining was that it never lost sight of the sheer stupidity of giant robots from space, so there were quite a few absurd moments. Not to mention said giant robots demanding to know where an eBay item is.

Isn?t it the same with every Michael Bay Movie? Action& Effects right on spot but the diagolgue and story hurl you out of the rollercoster everytime a charakter opens his mouth? I payed money on the last Transformer Movie and after I swore that I wouldn?t pay any money again to see a Michael Bay Movie. Bay can?t do emotion, Bay can?t do "relatable" ... and yet he always tries to do it, to crowbar that shit in there instead of making just a solid action movie. And those Moments are always totally painful to watch and so cheesy I?m always afraid my TV will leak liquid pretentiousness whenever Armageddon or Pearl Harbour are on ...

I loved The Rock. I thought that was a brilliant movie with great characters.

If you're at it for long enough you'll eventually get one right..
Even if it is by mistake.. :p

Wow this film is so racist. Shame on you Steven Spielberg.
This film is going to age like milk because of the dialog. The swine flu reference is going to go over everyone's head in a few years.
Lot of kids were crying in terror when Soundwave was onscreen and/or talking.

Connery and a Cage at the top of his Career save that one ... though I don?t think it?s really all a good movie, it?s just better than the other Stuff like said Pearl Harbour or BadBoys 2 ("let?s just plow thru this field of sheds where poor people live and use slow motion untill the audience barfs"). Same with "the Island" ... McGregor and Johannson completley save that one with good acting to being at least not painful to watch (still huge wasted potential there). Not something I can say about that LeBeuf guy and the wanna-be Angelina in Part 1.

You've already decided it will suck, so save your money and don't go, who cares what your friends think, they're not the boss of you, and if they're really your friends they won't care that you chose to stay home instead of seeing a movie you dont want to watch.

Wanted?

DUMBEST SH*T I'VE EVER SEEN!
I wanted to just leave in the middle of it. Two and a half hours of stupidity. The action scenes weren't that bad, but the dialogues...omg! And the plot, actually its lack of.

And I used to like the idea of the transformers, now it's ruined.

The college part was actually one of the worst in the movie - it was exactly like the American Pie movies. Oh yeah, coed dorms with naked chicks walking in the corridors all the time, and frat parties that will put to shame some Holywood parties. YEAH, RIGHT!

And also - the jet fighters. So the USAF didn't know where the battle is until the last minute, and yet all the aircraft carriers were near enough for the jets to reach it.

Okay, I realize this movie is not to be taken seriously, and is mainly aimed at kids...but which kids?
There were a few 8-9 year olds in the theatre, and they all got bored after 1.5 hours and started walking around the theatre. The 14 year olds, maybe? I'm guessing they were mostly there to see Meagan Fox, and didn't actually care too much about the robots.

Bad movie. UTTER CRAP!

You should be a motivational speaker!

That's the one!

Good Lord, it was awful!

I gave up on liking the movie for any credible reasons after the first 30 mins, that's not to say I didn't enjoy it.

Incredible music as always, incredible CGI (textures are unreal!) and plenty of good action. My favorite part (as I am an EM-weapon nerd) was when they used the railgun to shoot the decepticon off the pyramid....epic!

I'll probably buy it when it comes out, I enjoyed it.

edit: wanted was the worst movie I've ever seen.
