well if trust can do it i;m sure i can say it works well. japs have pride in what they make and if they put in a mag that goes around the world i;m sure it works clockwork on a IWC watch.

tbh i think private tuners tune much better than mazdaspeed. why coz no factory tuner is in the RH9 Club in japan or has done a lap from the tsubuka as fast as the street tuners

*edit spelt the title wrong, battery running out on wireless keyboard  *

3 posts and it's already offtopic...

Now you know why aftermarket tuners are "better" than MazdaSpeed? for the same reason Brabus is "better" than AMG.

Because they don't have to offer warranties, they can compromise everyday use and reliability for hardcore perfomance, whereas a company approved tuned product can't.

And thanks for the article, but it's not helping me, I can't read japanese.

i;m not sure, maybe its the clear arial text which says "RE Aemieya x Trust RX-8 BOLT ON TURBO KIT" that confused u.

and the color pictures of the turbo kits can be deciving as "grow your own snail farm packs" (coz turbos look like snails?) hey? specially the turbo on the floor looks like the rock iben took a photo of a few days ago right?

What the hell are you talking about. Type properly then maybe people will understand what you try to say

I think thats generalizing it a bit too much. I'm sure those companies won't release a product which comprimises reliability in such a drastic way compared to lets say the in house tuners. Well, depending what the customer after though too.

And the one in the article doesn't look that extreme.

as i said before, japanese people have pride in everything they do, these products they release work 100%. i guy i read had a oil change and the car leaked. when he bought it back to the garage they appolgised like shit to the guy takin their hats off bowing (sp) liek u see in cartoons to say sorry, they do that stuff.

moreover, if u pay someone like Trust and RE to tune ur car, i'm sure it work like clockwork.

e.g. i took mine to a tuner in hk, i'll host a file later u cna hear how smooth the turbo is.

yours? do you mean your father's GTR?

Anyway I know the japanese are very special, very proud and respectful. But still you get what I'm saying, there's always room for aftermarket stuff. Mazda is japaneese too anyway ;)

on a side note, as far as i know brabus started giving 1 year warranty in the past years, since AMG does that too. a proper amg is not that far away from a brabus so obviously most people would go for the slightly less performace and handling while having a 1 year warranty. thats why other tuners start giving warranty as well nowadays

Isn't brabus a car company of it's own like Ruf?

Anyway, warranties suck in europe.. here the least you can have is 3 years bumper to bumper

From a Mag.

You guys get 1-2 year warranties, 3 year warranties are very good.

Here a 3 year is the shittiest you can get.

Hyundai, Kia and Mitsubishi have 5 year warranties all around, and Mitsubishi has 7 years on the powertrain.

why are we on about warranties, there seems to be a raft of changing of subjects by renesis. i posted my car he talked bout the wheelbase wtf? and here i post a turbo rx-8 and we on about warrenty? we gonna buy one here? no! my point was just to shut renesis up about turbos not working on RX-8's which he got a full blown seizure on.

I'll try to find that article again bitch.

It says that the trend is that companies offer longer warranties, upping the offer to TWO or THREE years (oh wow  )

in europe only japanese car manufacturers offer 3 to 5 years complete warranty, on every single part and component of the vehicle. i think what ren meant was european car manufacturers, and in that sense he is right. eu car companies are not very generous regarding warranties.
