Trump won by the biggest margin in history. I am sure he will gloat endlessly. I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Pump the brakes. There are 2.2 million registered voters in Iowa. Of that there are approx 750,000 registered Republicans. Turn out was around 100,000...
 
And in a blizzard, who are the most-likely to show up and vote in a caucus?: the crazies, who when trump said "if you die voting for me, it'll have been worth it", thought "Hell yeah!"

Which, from what I understand, is the problem with the system of caucuses and primaries. These aren't on the radar for a lot of voters. So only the fringe vote in them, allowing more extreme candidates to make it to the election.
