Unable to load Torrent file

Greetings,

I have downloaded several torrent files for various episode of Top Gear. But Transmission is unable to open them. Instead it gives me a message : "F98401BDB1B2C8DF8CC82B3EF2638E15E8D41C8F.torrent" is not a valid torrent file. The Torrent file cannot be opened because it contains invalid data.

Using Snow Leopard and Transmission 1.76.

ANy ideas?

Re-download the file and try again?

Maybe restart the client?

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, I have already tried doing that, in fact I downloaded several to no avail. Then I tried uTorrent without luck. So then I tried some torrents for other sites, movies audio etc. and all performed without a hitch. But I can't get these torrent files to load at all. Nobody else has had this problem?

Nothing to do with any tracker.

If the link doesn't work, then try one of the other two on that page. Worse case try the bottom one which isn't a torrent file at all but will still work with modern clients.

And if that doesn't work, switch to uTorrent.

Problem with that is that uTorrent has nearly no features on OS X. Plus, IIRC, it doesn't recognize magnet links in OS X either.
