"Updated" Azureus . . . now it doesn't work!

I'm connected via a router to a cable modem.

My Azureus was working perfectly fine until it prompted me to update to the latest version. I downloaded it and installed. Now, it won't connect! The program opens fine and starts up like before. However, all my downloading smileys are red and my seeding ones are blue. No yellow or green.

I attempted to force a port through both my firewall and router but it still won't work! I have no idea what's wrong since I know nothing about computers.

What happened? Does anybody know?

dont worry mate, it happened to me too, it updated and restarted itself, and now, no bt traffic, it can connect to the trackers, but not the peers/seeds. i havnt found anyone else that has the issue and a solution yet, but when i do, ill pass it on.

Thank you for the support.
I am currently using another bittorrent program to download and then seed the newest Fifth Gear episode. It's weird how another program works fine THROUGH THE SAME PORT AS ASSIGNED TO AZUREUS!
I am using the "generic" BitTorrent program.
BTW, my Gnucleus program is not working after I updated it too. Perhaps it was a scam to kick off users?

I still miss the Azureus interface though. I had a few other files dl/seeding on there.

I'm searching through online archives to find a solution too.

Wow, thanks for the quick replies! That seems to have solved the problem.

However, I now have to 100% CPU usage syndrome! Azureus now loads ridiculously slow and it seems to freeze everything else up!

This is like troubleshooting an EFI system!

I'm getting a connection error [IO Exception: server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL]. is this the same problem that others have been having? This is after updating Java and a cleam install of azureus.

No, your problem seems different from ours.
Have you tried forcing an IP port? This speeds up the connection ten fold!

I'm behind 3 firewalls so it was required to connect.
