142 = 227kph... thats pretty damn quick for a civic, but its easily reachable if its an SiR like Sir_dude's one, I remember 1.6DOHC Vtec civics can touch 180kph without breakin a sweat ;)

In my mother's VTi, I reach ~195kph in fourth, and already did 230kph, and knowing that some americans have turbos or other enhancements in their cars, it's a perfectly reachable speed.
More, since cops put their radars in hill descents with miles of open road :wall: :bangin: , it's even more feasible.
 
Do they really show pics of people on the news like that? Really fun for friends and esp. family of that guy, even though he broke the law why should everyone know? They would anonymize him over here (Norway). Doubt he said pic was ok?

Or maybe he was proud and gave them a picture... :bangin: Stupid kid either way.

dude, I remember while living in the states, whenever someone was caught and sentenced/fined by the police, they wrote the whole thing in the local newspapers the next day. With name and what he/she had done ... talk about humiliation ....... :oops:
