Viper on TG

no reason why they shouldnt test it. its possible that they might.

would they test it against the corvette or z06, thats a stretch.

God I hope TG does review it...

Just to make Viper happy it's worth it, and I'd laugh my ass so hard if it did a shitty time ahhhh hahahah :p

I'm sure he'd blame it on the modifications made in Belgium. :p

Seriously, I bet they're gonna have to detune it in order for it to meet emission standards. :(

And they may not like it - it's a raw and simple car, purposely designed to be simplistic. Just depends if you think that's a good idea or bad.

 I don't remember insulting your beloved Porsche...

The mummy of all sportscars, I really don't understand why there's so little to see about this car. I've never seen a review of the Viper on tv...only that Nissan Sunny vs Viper. :(

I don't think Jeremy will fit in it. Unless they test the cabrio 8)

fuck the viper, the new M5 babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy    8) thats what am looking forward to

I'm 6'2 and I fit in a 2005 Viper quite comfortably. I did find the positioning of the pedals a little cramped, but everything is very snug and compact which is perfect - you don't want to be sliding around inside a 500hp\500ft. lb torque car. I'm sure people upwards of 6'4 could fit in it with no problem at all.

The positioning of the important things like the steering wheel and shifter are quite good - I'd say the position of the shifter is probably one of the best I've ever felt. :)

I'm sorry you took it as an insult, but it's the truth. How often do you see a Viper out-cornering a 911?

Now, I would be insulting it I said it was "a raw and simple American car that can't go fast in a straight line". In fact, you should remember that I conceded that the Viper can out-drag a 911 Turbo.

Oh that's surprising, did you actually drove the Viper?

I haven't driven a 2005 Viper, but I got a ride around an autocross course in one and sat in the driver seat of a parked one for quite a bit.
I absolutely hated Vipers till I actually got a ride in one - I suggest that any of you who dislike them attempt to get a ride in one (althought that can be quite difficult).

They may not be as neat and tidy around the corners as a 911, but power sliding around a corner with 500 horsepower screaming through the rear tires is quite an incredible feeling. And if you're driving the car on the street, a massive oversteer power-slide is more fun than a quick tight corner. :)

If I were forced to chose between a Viper and a 911 I'd pick the 911, but the new Viper is a pretty amazing car.

tiff has drifted the 911 turbo. the difference between the turbo and viper is that the turbo can go tightly around a corner or slide/drift while as the viper has no choice but to slide into the corner.

2005 Dodge Viper base price: $80,995 USD
2005 Porsche 911 Turbo base price: $131,400 USD

^ The Porsche 911 Turbo is a much more versatile car, but they aren't really comparable cars.
The base price of a Porsche 911 Carrera S is $79,100 USD, so it's more of a comparable car.

The Viper is definetly more sloppy than even the Carrera S, but sometime sloppy can be fun. :)
