I finally was able to rip an episode to my computer so you guys can see the wonderful exciting stuff we put up with here in the States...

1) I would do the whole show, but honestly, it's so boring you wouldn't watch the whole thing, it was horrible having to rip it and sit there and watch it the first time...

2) I only ripped the review segments of the cars, you probably don't want the "garage tips" on who to use an air filter, so i'm sorry if you got your hopes up.

3) my server, so don't pass the link around, i don't exactly have unlimited bandwidth, and i do watch it everyday to see how much i can share...

4) it's a wmv. file, since this isn't going to be an important release, i didn't really care too much about the quality or i would've spent more time on it, it's enough for you to see the crap we put up with...and yes, they are always like this.

so enjoy the show, if you fall sleep, i'm sorry...and leave your comments

that's not too bad. speed has some better stuff that you should rip though

yeah, but this is the only new car review show there is...Motorsport Mundial is racing news...not car reviews...

this is to compare to Topgear/FifthGear
 
I'm not going to torture myself. I've seen that show plenty of times and it just makes me cherish Top Gear & Fifth Gear all the more. :wink:

they are all exactly alike...if you watch the Jag review, it's exactly like the Vette review...just switch the cars...all of them are exactly alike.

that's why i posted 2 vids...to show how alike EVERY review is...regardless of an american sports car or a britsh luxary sedan.
 
I didn't even get to the end of the Jag... it was just too boring cuz it was all technical bullcrap...

If TG was like this or if Viper hosted this TV show instead of TG... this site would probably have like 2 members :lol:

That's how we do it over here, we spend too much money for cheap crap. It's the American way... :lol:

All Mototweek does is plug the cars, as if we don't see enough of their marketing on TV already.
 
I don't think they even tell you which is better... they just read out all the functions it had probably from the dealer brochure and they just say which is better because it has this function... they don't even compare it with the competitors and tell you which you should buy and why

bingo...its a spec sheet or something, not a car review...they are selling you the car, not reviewing it.
 
Motorweek is also on PBS and yes, it sucks.
 
there too technicle... they tell you all these stuff the car has and I don't even understand what they are trying to explain... imagine some rich bloke who wants to know if he should buy the XJ and he sees this program... he'll prob. not even understand a single sentence... and why would I wana know the 1/4 mile time of a 4 door luxury sedan... like I'm going to go on the drag strip and have my chauffer(sp?) drive me and race a mustang :lol:

the thing i could never understand is the slalom course...how often in life am i weaving back and forth between cones like that to make it even a justifiable measurement? and even if it wasn't cones and in a real life situation, chances are i wouldn't be weaving back and force between baby deer as fast as i could...

can't wait for the euro people to wake up and check this out...:lol:
 
Oh, man. That reminded me of when I used to watch Car & Driver TV on the weekends. They feel like those promotional vids the manufacturers send to dealers, or those informecials you see on sunday mornings. :lol:

And yes, ALL of the american car shows are like this, down to the way the guy talks in the vid.

Aarrrghh... I can't get that damn commentary voice out of my head, the one from the Jaguar review. Awful!
