We need a skinner

Someone's gotta make a Top Gear or FinalGear skin for this Konflabulator widget so I and others can use it to count down until Top Gear and/or Fifth Gear.

You can skin it to however you want. Example, here's one for the TV show Lost:

You just create the images, select them in the widget, and then export the theme.

Change the font of the numbers, they're hard to read

the Top Gear logo should be sharpened too it looks blurry

I kinda agree with the TopGear logo, but the numbers font is great.

He came up with that design without looking at what the widget can actually handle.

Simply put, he won't be able to get it to look anything like that. You can't skin the numbers, you gotta have the images above and below, etc.

Perhaps we should just make our own widget though that pulls the dates of the next episode off the site. How kickass would that be? Hands free on time until the next episode!?

Just noticed this thread.

I'm a little confused - all the Konfabulator Widgets I've looked at that had numbers (i.e. usually the countdown ones) actually had a graphics file for each number from 0 to 9, so you can create a 'skin' of the numbers by creating each of those graphics files...

Unless if you're asking to have the numbers roll by as time passes. In which case that would be tricky as you'd have to create each frame separately...
