What about Caterhams ?

I also forgot to mention that they are planning on building a new closed version of their d8 the d8gt.

Got wing??? :p

i think that thing is pretty cool looking, most likely wouldn't pass the speedbump test though. but i'd loe to see that on the TG test track.

Donkervoorts actually look pretty awesome in stock form:

how can you people critise the F50s styling and then go bonkers over such a penismobile?

Donks are great cars and used to be the hardcore version of the Caterham super 7, but so much more expensive, and now that the CSR260 is available, not as fast either. I've always liked the D8 though.

In holland we also build these caterham look a likes. They are called donkervoort and also pack a pretty punch. It actually beat the carrera GT's time on the nurnburgring. It did a lap in 7,14.89.

here are some pics.

that?s not really a donkervoort anymore, this thing was built by Michael D?chting (the german importer for Donkervoort), to crack the "Sport Auto" (a car magazine) record for roadgoing cars... it did go round faster than everything else, and they briefly had it at the top of the list, but took it off again quite quickly as there is no chance of making that thing road legal in germany...

it?s basically a prototype only built for prestige...

they are nowhere near as practical as an F40... because the only way you can (legally) drive this thing around town is on the back of a truck
