What should he get for ca. 30.500 Euros?

Should be:

- roomy
- sporty and great fun to drive
- nice numbers of BHPs
- nice to look at
- easy - peasy to sell, with a good 2.nd hand value
- low maintnance costs
- newer (mid 90's, and up)

And remember, cars around here cost mooooore, so think about that when you contribute your suggs ..

Bring 'em on

some toyota
-low maintainance cost
-very easy to sell
-roomy
-newer

a celica, passeo, corolla, ...

A few year old Civic TypeR. It looks ok and for that price range it moves nicely. The drawback is that everyone has one and it's too obvious choice.
Maybe the new Opel Astra GTC with ~200hp engine?
It meets all your demands and does look nice.

ED: Oh damn, I messed up the frame. The pics are too big I guess. I've got no time to fix it right now, have to go to work. Sorry :(

yup... I agree as well... the Open Astra is nice, but if you want reliability, I would stick to the toyota

What about the Golf V GTI... Even if the cars are more expensive up there you should be in Budget...
Or why not a R32 plus a nice bike...
Or a 5 series (E39)...
In Germany you could get awesome deals on the BMW 530d (petrol should be even cheaper) will FULL trim (SatNav, exlusive leather and wood...), around 9 months old and 20000 kms on it for UNDER that kind of money... And that was like a 14 months ago...
(Meaning my Dad bought one..)

Buba

well... its Norway and taxes are skyhigh which sucks... for that money in other places, as buba said, you can get alot more cars

A BMW 3 series should fulfil all those requirements. Not sure about low maintenance costs or the price tag, though...

Oh my, that would be something :woot: ! That would definitely not be a sensible purchase, but sometimes you just have to go with emotion. You know, like this -> .

what about a used wrx??? cheap, powerful, practical, and you can throw it around and have a good time in it.

lederlieber, do you not like grapes anymore?

a WRX isn't a car I'd consider getting second hand, it's prolly been beaten up and lots of them have problems, the tranny mainly.

Your taxes are killer man. For that kind of money here you could buy a brand new Monaro or 350z. :(

I'll second the 3-series idea. They're sporty, roomy, have plenty of power, are practical, should hold their value well, and the previous owner won't be as likely to have beaten on the car as if it were a hot hatch or sports car.

I would like to thank all you guys for your suggestions

Keep em coming everyone, everything is very appreciated! And yes, taxes are very high and it sux ballz ........

in spite of Ren's opinion, I would go for the WRX STi about 1 or 2 years old.

I didn't noticed that much problems with the impreza,
and I saw N group versions in French rally championship
which are awesome.

4 wheel drive, more than 250 hp and 4 seats.
But You need to fill it each 350 km.

I would go for this one:http://www.extreme-machines.nl/images/wallstipro/impreza_sti_2_800.jpg
