What do you guys think Audi A3 or Acura TSX?

I'm looking for a car to replace my ML320, cause i no longer have the yearning to own an SUV.... I want something a little sportier, but something i can still take some friends into for a day of skiing... Any advice would be appreciated. I'm leaning towards the A3, but thats only because someone i know recently bought the A6 and i really liked it...
 
I personally love the Acura TSX, its basically the Japanese-Spec Accord, I don't think you can carry alot with the A3 though... maybe you should consider an A4?
 
Probably the A3 will be too small when you're used to the ML. The TSX is a great car, and so is the A3. But whatever we might say, nothing beats a test-drive.
You will notice the better involvement the A3 interior gives you.
You didn't tell the versions you're after, though.
 
yeah i'm going to test drive the tsx this week... unfortunately i'm currently in canada and the A3 doesn't come out for a bit here... but i mostly live in the states so i was gonna buy it there... for those asking about the options, the tsx obviously doesn't have many options... i was gonna go for the manual in both....in the A3 i was gonna get the premium package and not the sport, no need for performance tires in the winter... the cold weather package and xenon lights... pretty much the basic of what most people would get... and i'm really not concerned with space in the audi since it has the ski sleeve through the armrest... thanks for all the words of wisdom..lol... keep it up..
 
If you are seriously considering an A3, consider a VW Golf (preferably GTI :roll: ), cos they are practically the same car xcept you pay more for the Audi badge.
I'm not one to judge the Acura because I dont know much about American cars :dunno:

Why not I thought you wanted a sporty car?? What does the premium package include btw???

Being in europe I'd get the tsx because it would be rare, but i think your situation is different so then I'd get the a3 :)
 
yeah i was definitely considering the golf gti, unfortunately we don't have the new model which is now in Europe... otherwise i'd definitely get it.... the premium package has 17"wheels, 225/45 R17 all season tires, info display, rain sensor etc, power seats, fog lights, leather and leather steering wheel... the only reason i don't get the sport package is because the only difference between it and the premium package is the sport suspension, roof spoiler, and the performance tires (which actually as i now read can be switched to all-season)... hmmm, now that i wrote it all out i'm really leaning towards it...
 
I would go for the A3 (but I'm a bit biased). But, I would take the S-line package (if available in US) and maybe even the DSG gearbox (together with the 3.2 or 2.0TFSI and maybe quattro). That would be one hell of a car.
Anyway, you should take the car you want. And keep in mind that a lot of things are optional (while being standard in other cars) with Audi and very expensive(even cupholders and armwrest <-- you should get this for sure).

I wonder what I see everyday driving by the Audi dealership. Looks like an A3 to me ;). I live in Kitchener, Ontario.
 
really, i'm gonna have to check that... cause what i was led to believe was that it wasn't gonna come till later in the summer.... Sounds like time for a test drive....
 
I'll go tonight and check in person. It sure looks like the A3 is sitting in the front facing the traffic. I'll take some pics as well ;)

hmm... we don't get that A3 over here... ours looks kinda different :lol: , your A3 isn't as small as I though, seems like you get pretty decent trunk space compared to other hatches like Golf

The Acura TSX is really the Honda Accord type Euro. Great car.

Thanks guys... gonna take that test drive on friday see what i think.... But yeah its unfortunate that us canadians don't have quattro, its coming next year. We'll see what happens. still haven't made a decision, going to have to wait till after the test drives...
