What does anarack mean?

I've heard Jeremy use the word anarack a on the show a few times (normally referring to audience members) and I have no idea what it means! I'm guessing it's some sort of British colloquialism, because I've never heard of the word before. Any ideas? :mrgreen:
 
It's 'anorak'! An anorak is a waterproof jacket (like a ski-ing jacket, but not trendy) that is often worn by people doing what many people think are un-cool, nerdy hobbies like train-spotting or bird-watching.

'Anorak' has become British slang for people who are a bit obsessed by their hobbies and a bit nerdy and could do with getting a life... :D
 
you mean the word: "hanorack" ? (sp?)
yes, that's the sens that he is using in his videos, and as cath says it's a sort of jacket that is usually associated with a nerdy personality, although not necessarily.

According to the Bartleby American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 'anorak' is derived from the Inuit word annoraaq meaning a jacket with a hood.

in canada an anorak is generally a pullover jacket with a hood

A no-tail is a female, so called because of the absense of a tail (a youngster's term for a penis).

As in:
