sorry they wont let you get that cuz

Wine lover Glenn Eurick was recently informed by the Utah Tax Commission that the vanity plates on his dark red 1996 Mercedes are unacceptable and must be removed. The offensive slogan? MERLOT. Utah forbids the use of words or phrases related to intoxicants on its vanity plates, a policy that it enforces by way of a strict screening process that occurs before the plates are issued. Eurick?s plates had been mounted on his car for over ten years before an anonymous tipster called the government to report that Merlot was an alcoholic beverage. Claiming that his plates reference the color of his vehicle, Eurick plans to challenge the state?s decision. If the mandate stands, he wants his next set of plates to read ?NO MERLO?.

so i dont think "OhCock" will fly in the usa
I'm pretty sure there's a special level of hell available for those who get up in arms over supposedly "offensive" license plates. In fact, if there's a just and merciful God, He'll send them there immediately. <_<

How sad do you have to be to pick up your phone and call the DMV about some guy's license plate because it has a type of wine on it?

^ well 58 is the current British plate, like it was 08 at the start of the year. That could be a real plate. Obviously TG is the important bit. :)

Edit: Don't think anyone has got my built-in gag on it yet though. :D
As in the Stig - "I am him" in morse? Good one.

With my Grammar Nazi hat on "I am He" would have been better. Or "It is I". ;)

Well that wasn't the one I was talking about, have another general glance at the plate, particularly what's around the edges.... ;)

I'm guessing that when we get to 2010, it will be 10 and 61.

It?s not quite so easy in germany (the first letters are fix depending where you live), but if you live in Steinfurt, you could get this one (still available) ...

Edit:

In Cochem-Zell ... the fix letters are COC and they let you have a single K ... just checked and COC-K9999 (for example) would still be available. That?s full of win I think :)

See, the problem with having "OH COCK" (or one of it's many variations) as a registration is that only James May can really pull it off without assumptions that the owner is gay, a porn star, or both... and even he has trouble with that sometimes.

I think the ultimate has got to be on the Lotus Elise here in Southern California, on Balboa Island in Newport Beach. Simply says THESTIG

One I've seen regularly is this horrible mint green (sorta) coloured Nissan Micra with the plates 'ISTIG'.
