You'd think that as people perceived as a car guys they would have a stronger attachment to the vehicle that would prevent them from buying and selling them as quickly as they can. I guess if you've driven them all, in a sense, then they aren't as special. I saw a segment from old topgear the other day on the youtube with Clarkson presenting his story of getting a 355 which I think he got rid of before buying the Ford GT. Which is funny because he loved the 355 so much. In series 15 he mentioned that he would buy a 458 but I don't know if he has actually done that or not.

Clarkson's 355

James should own a Drophead
Jeremy should own a 458
Richard should own a 997 GT2

IMO, the cars they picked for the US road trip couldn't be any more perfect for them.

SLS AMG for JC
458 for JM
GT3 RS for RH

James May would never want a 458, are you kidding, he would flip out daily over that steering wheel.

But he's said he likes it better than his own 430.

Doesn't James have a slant-nose 911?

JC would like to have the SLS with normal doors
Hammond would like a Pagani Zonda F
James would like 100 000 quid's worth of London Pride.

And some shephard's pies to accompany all those pints, presumably.

To quote JC on the Gallardo, "I don't want a Gallardo, but I don't want a world where there is no Gallardo."
It's a great car.

During the Cool Wall segment in an Australian show for TopGearLive, Jeremy mentioned the Lamborghini Gallardo used to be cool but it no longer is as Richard had bought one the previous week.

For example, as the specialist told me my 1972 Aston Martin DB6 MkII Vantage - bought in a red mist of excitement and desire, just six months earlier - was not quite the full ticket after all, my bowels turned to lemon juice and my shoulders slumped through my ribcage.

Now I hate Dicky for other reasons.
