Here's a poll that will show how many people have a certain type of engine in their cars. And this is only for cars. Please no motorcycles, airplanes, trains, buses, trucks, or any other mode of transportation you have.

IIII most European small cars.

--o--

Or rather have you got a boxer engine? (Unlikely unless you run a Scooby Doo).

l4 - four cylinders in a row (today's standard, example: VW Polo 1.4)
flat 4 - two cylinders opposed to each other (old VW Beetle)

Edit: Cobol beat me to it. :)

I suspect he meant "Boxer 4" when he wrote "Flat 4"

Also, V8 FTW.

Er, a 2 litre turbodiesel.

*wikis to see what it is exactly*

edit - it's an I4.

I have one of GM's old but reliable 3.8 V6's. It's a Series II 3800 with a Supercharger.

I dont think anyone has made (for a car that is) a V4 or V5. If you have examples (and not prototypes of some 1800's car) please post.
I voted V8 as i have a S500, tho i dont drive it much.. I could have picked I4 as i also have GTI and its my day to day ride.
And W16, i know someone is going to be a punk and vote that.
EDIT:
Also What about the VR Motors? VW ships a few VR6's.

I love my boxer rumble :D

Rover V8 powerrrrr!! I've also got an I-4 powered motorbike. 8) Not to mention the flat 4 Cessnas I fly around.

The V5 is just a very narrow angle V (15 degrees IIRC). So it still looks like an in-line

3.0L V6 for me.
