Well, I intend to buy a shaving machine but don't know what to buy!!! What do you recommend or/and what do you use?
And why do you recommend it?!

By the way which is better: Phillips or Braun?!

Thanks

P.S.: Post images of the machine that you use please!

I recently switched from shaving with Gillette Mach 3 to the Braun Cruzer3. Compared to the gillette razor, my chin isn't nearly as smooth with the Braun. It does save some time, and i like the fact that i can use it to trim my goatee and sideburns. I have always had trouble with Philips shavers, they gave me a horrible rash and lots of tiny cuts on my chin. I don;t know if that's changed, last time i used a Philips was over 10 years ago.

but nothing compares to a good blade. Now I only use a blade.
x2

I tried a lot of blades, and it's Mach 3 for me.

I have this one, a philishave, it is good, but nothing compares to a good blade. Now I only use a blade.

Agreed. Went back to the razor 4 years ago, I have not regretted it. Plus, I only shave on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday (of course).

I have this:

It's quite good; very close shave for an electric shaver, plus it's got a blade comfort control so you can adjust how close a shave you want. My skin is very sensitive, and this shaver doesn't irritate my face, so I do recommend it if you find using a razor is time-consuming, or you get razor burns very easily.

I have the same set, with the base bit.

I also recommend this, gives a nice clean shave that the ladies can appreciate :p

However, this particular model, is basically their most expensive and most high-tech. I mean it has a flipping LCD panel :p But as for the shaver itself, go on eBay, get it cheap, you won't regret it. Battery goes forever and its really easy to maintain.

X3

When I feel too lazy to shave using a blade, I run to my Phillips and it does the job of reducing my beard's volume pretty well. Plus, I can trim my sideburns very easily. However, when I need my skin smooth, it's a blade's job. I'm not quite a big fan of the Mach 3 as it gives me some irritations but, some good 'twin blades' are enough.
Anyway, if I were you and had some money, I'd buy an electric shaver and use it when you're on a rush or too lazy to use a blade.

I used the Norelco for years, and my dad for years before that. I switched to the linear Braun because it's easier to shave around my beard; I found out that it's a much better shave. I gave one to my dad a couple years ago and he loves it and swears he will never go back to the radial shaver design.

I love the cleaning station, it makes it a snap to keep clean and every shave is brand new. It also makes your blades last longer and reduces wear on the motor and screen.

Did you know that you can use the newer foil & cutter (360 Complete) with the older Activator series? All they really changed was that specific part. I recently bought the new foil & cutter and it works great with my 8595 model.

I didn't know that, but my current foil and cutter is doing fine with the regular cleanings. If I ever feel like it is pulling or hanging on my beard I may look into that, but there's no need right now.

Good tip, though.

Wow, what shaving machine to buy? Come on you don't need to ask for opinion about every damn thing.

On the other hand... what kind of toilet paper are you using? I'm on Paloma and thinking about switching...

Well, the Braun 360 complete is one of the choices and perhaps also the Phillips Coolskin! But the shaving system of that new Phillips HQ9190 is better than the Coolskin? Also the Phillips HQ9190 is 40? more expensive than the Braun 360!

Yes, I know that I don't need to ask opinion for everything but this is a subject that really annoys me! Why? Because it's a problem to spend a lot of money and then the things are a sh**** and we won't be happy with them! I have a sensitive skin... so I can't do my beard every day and my job don't allow me to have beard! With a Mach 3 Turbo if I do the beard one day after another my face have rough beard just after I do it! So a shaving machine perhaps would have the same size as if I make it with the Mach 3!

P.S.: I use a Lidl toilet paper! Not the rough one because as my face is so sensitive so does my ass! I use a double sheet paper with parfum! 8)

The Lidl ha? maybe i will give it a try, allthough i hear that zeewa is quite nice too.:p

Oh and that was not just about you asking for everything, i have a feeling people (on many forums) are just becoming less and less capable of deciding or doing some research on their own.
The internets tubes are the work of satan...

Nothing too spectacular here, just a simple Braun 3710. Does the job and the trimmer is great for sideburns and eyebrows.

Mach III FTW.

For what it's worth, I agree :p

It always amuses me to see adverts for the latest piece of shaving kit. A few years ago it was the Mach 3 that was at the cutting edge (scuse the pun) of shaving technology. Now unless it has 10 blades and sexy looking electric green and matt grey design, it isn't worth the time of day. The relentless Space Race-esque development of the humble razor blade...

I really should get a good electric. Even with blades I start getting some stubble before the end of the day so I figure why waste the extra time it takes with a razor? Plus having to shave everyday gives me some pretty nasty razor bumps. I'm guessing that, from what most people here are saying, the rotary ones aren't as good.

Anyone know anything about the Braun 5790? Or the 7570? They look interesting and reasonably cheap on eBay.

I think that a forum is a place to get the ideas cleared! I've done my research and that's why I'd chosen those 2 I said earlier. Even though Phillips for me was always the shaving brand but I get many people to say that it isn't as good enough as Braun! Deep inside we always carry a choice but here we see if it's worth or not!

You are doing it wrong!
The forum is the place to make fun of other people post some stupid cats and hitler. And maybe talk about cars.
Internets on the other hand is strictly for porn.

Anyone who tries to use the internets seriously is wrong.

Heard of any good tampoons lately?
