The show on TLC is normally about taking a car from its owner without him/her knowing, overhauling it over a week and returning it to its owner at no cost. They normally do older muscle cars that really need the overhaul (rust, bondo, etc.) but tonight they are going at it on a brand new Mustang (2006).

Why oh why ? Aren't there anymore cars left to rebuild in CA that they need to grab a new one ? I keep thinking the "victims" aren't picked just by the value of the overhaul & how much it is worth showing it on TV and some people get a free ride out of this. :yucky:

A 2006 Mustang ? COME ON ! ! :bangin:

My respect for OverHaulin' just went way down.

yea thats just shitty. and to tell you the truth, i didn't really like it anyway. i'm sure half of the people that had their cars redone didn't want their cars to look like that or wanted to do some work on the car by themselves.
the students with a shitty car, fine, but the cases where they take restoration projects and have their way is no cool in my book.

isn't that the point of restoring a car? doing the work yourself since you could just buy a restored one in the first place...

I think its a crappy show, its so overplayed, yeah sometimes the cars come out nice, but its so overplayed and overhyped.

I used to like to watch it along with Rides on Tuesdays but I think I won't follow OverHaulin' anymore if they keep up this kind of crap.
I thought I would enjoy the Civic ep. a few weeks ago but somehow it left me wanting for more.

Too bad, I used to like the show. :(
