What to drive to Top Gear

Wow! I envy you. I hope TG is still around when i've got enough time and money to go watch the show live, at the studio.

Also, like some have already asked.. Take alot of pictures! Personally i am really interested to see the surroundings of the studio, possibly take pictures of the host trio's cars? Please, enjoy your trip and stay safe!

See if there's any chance of renting an Atom, I wouldn't care what the weather would be. Would just love to drive one.

Arrived in the UK yesterday! Picked the Abarth and hit the road heading up to Lincolnshire. What a blast to drive!!! This morning headed over to Ancaster Kart Racing. 4 more days before the taping - so many roads to check out.

The Abarth has a lot of power for its size and the steering is almost telepathic.

Trying to get pictures posted to flickr. will advise when they are up.

:welcome: Welcome to the UK :welcome:

Ancaster is a old Roman fortified town and is about 1800 years old or more, so lots of history & stuff to see around there too.

Drive safely and enjoy your stay.
:)

Will look out for the Abarth in the TG carpark - I'm going to the filming as well. Enjoy yourself while you're over here!

Oh, and I don't know when you printed your tickets, but be aware that the filming time has changed - doors open 1.00pm now, and filming starts at 1.30pm.

Welcome, hope you enjoy your stay here. My area is Leicestershire, you'll probably sail by on the M1 going down to Dunsfold. :D

Looking forward to seeing the pics.

I saw my very first 500 Arbarth this evening in west London.
It had a 2010 plate, with the letters spelling AWW.

Was out to the aerodrome to make sure the GPS could find it. Spoke to a nice chap at the guards gate. Turns out that Dunsfold was built in 11 months by Canadians during WWII. Tomorrow will be a blast I am sure.

Sounds like a blast, where's those pictures, Gerard? :D

Think I may have seen the Abarth in the car-park, but there was never anyone near it when I looked. Looking forward to your pics! I would post some of mine, but as they're pretty much all of me draped over poor Andy Wilman, I'm not sure they'd be of much interest!

If you want to make points with the tg crue then escort rs cossworth...
If you want to piss them off... Vauxhall vectra

So glad you got to see the taping, Gerard. Can't wait for a detailed report and photos.

he-he, post yours, too, please. THAT'S AN ORDER. Heh.

I can't wait either Gerard. And Ellie, as I always respond so well to direct orders, here you are, I hope this link works. I haven't spoiler-tagged them 'cos it's a link, but there are a few pics from the filming of S15E06 so don't look if you haven't seen/talked about the episode yet, just to be safe.

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=238134&id=684523627&l=6e30a1ec1d They're a mix of all four filmings that I've been to - the 'me draped over Andy' ones are at the end.

Gerard - I really hope you don't feel that I'm stealing your thunder by posting my pics in what is, in effect, your thread.
