whats your average KB/sec download and up rate? how much....

yea so whats your average KB/sec download and up rate? mine right now with the ftp thing downloading off hookie and bit torrent downloading movies is only at about 200-210 at best. i up load at like 300 thoguh lol

i download about 1-2G a day but if i download videos then it goes to about 4-5G's

bout u ??
 
Stabilized 300 KB/sec down and a steady 60 KB/sec up.

This is sympatico's DSL service and the CO (Central Office) is just down the street from me so I get the best signal :D.
 
1.5mbit/896k (160KB down, 100 KB up)

I transfer about 5 GB a day per way.

How do you get from kbps to KB/sec. ?
I know they are the same thing expressed differently, but how ?
I am sure most of you know how to do it. ;)

32KB/16KB and I can only make 8GB of traffic/month... :cry: (from 3 to 9 am it's free, so azureus is always on at those hours) ;)

I know, I know... I have to change my connection :roll:
 
so mine aint that bad....but what do u guys thing i should get if my ISP says its a 6M boardband?

is it true that if u were a supergeek u could tweek it and get even more than whatu pay for?
 
I don't think it would be that easy. At least here, I asked around how I could tweak my cable modem and every geek told me it would be detectable.

It's roughly dividing the number by 8, so 738 kbps <small "B", would be 92 kB/s <big "B", of upload.
I think it's bits and bytes, respectively, or is it bytes and bits? :lol:

You can make cable go 100s of MB/s, but ISPs can, and do monitor speeds, especially increases like that :p

DSL has a realatively limited speed tho, which was discussed in the DSL thread :)

but max 15 gig of traffic, of which 15% may be upload

that realy sucks
